Sick Kids Fundraiser
Published on Jun 7, 2019 14:10

Dear Families,

Did you know that there are thousands of childhood illnesses and conditions that we don’t know or have even heard about?  Do you know of a family member, friend, or even yourself that at one point in their/your life was a patient at The Hospital for Sick Children?

During the week of June …… our school will be participating in a Spirit Week Fundraiser dedicated to raising funds to support The Hospital for Sick Children.  All funds raised will go directly to Sick Kids Foundation to help support the many young warriors and their families that suffer from these various illnesses and conditions and their need to visit Sick Kids Hospital.

Throughout the week students will wear different colours that represent these illnesses and conditions.  For this year’s Spirit Week Fundraiser, we have chosen the following colours to wear:

Monday – wear gold or yellow in support of Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer

Tuesday - wear green in support of Mental Health, Juvenile Arthritis, childhood depression, cerebral palsy, and kidney disease

Wednesday – wear grey in support of childhood diabetes, Brain cancer, Asthma, and Allergies

Thursday- wear purple in support of Chiari Malformation, Kleefstra Syndrome, cystic fibrosis, and epilepsy

Friday- wear red in support of heart conditions and sickle cell anemia

This is a great way for our students and families to show our support.  We are asking monetary for a donation of $2.00 per students which will raise over $800 but you don’t have to stop there.  Any monetary amount will be greatly appreciated.

On behalf of the school and Parent Council we would like to thank you for your continued support.

Happy Spirit Week.
