Week 7 --- Parent Bulletin
Published on Oct 27, 2019 19:35

Hello Everyone,

Only three more weeks until Progress Reports go home.  A great opportunity for families to celebrate their child(rens) learning.

Weekly recap:

Our junior boys soccer team had their tournament and did very well.  The boys placed 2nd overall and Ms. Dobney was very proud of the team’s accomplishments.   A special thank you to Mario U for being the assistant coach of the team. Way to go Tigers!

Our grade 8 students had the opportunity to play a friendly volleyball game agaist South Simcoe Police.  Both teams did very well while having lots of fun. Thank you to Mr. Hughes for being a referee and to Ms. Gretes for coaching the grade 8’s.  Way to go Tigers!

Picture day ran very smoothly and the students looked wonderful.  The photographers expressed their gratitude about how well mannered our students were all day.  It is always so nice to receive positive feedback from people outside of the community about our students.

Our first pizza and hot lunch days were a success. Hot lunch days take tremendous time to plan and organize and Mrs. Ng has spent many hours to ensure that these days run smoothly.  A big ‘Thank you’ to Mrs. Ng, for everything she does for our students. Without her hard work, organization and tenacity, we would not have the variety of hot lunch items available for our students.

On Thursday October 31st  we will be having a Hallowe’en dance.  Students will be in the gym for about 1 hour with their peers.  Students are welcome to wear costumes. We ask that no masks be worn, and that students refrain from  bringing any items that are imitation weapons (i.e. no play guns, swords, etc). Students need to come to school with their costumes/make up already in place.  Admission to the dance is a non perishable food item, a loonie or toonie.

Thank you for supporting our local food bank.
