What To Do When School Buses Are Cancelled
Published on Nov 10, 2019 21:03

The winter season is upon us and occasionally buses are cancelled due to inclement weather and impassable roads.   To get the latest updates on bus cancellations, please refer to the following media outlets:

  1. Radio stations: ROCK 95.7 FM, B101.1 FM, KOOL 107.5 FM, JACK FM 15.9, LIFE 100.3KICX 104.1 FM, MOOSE FM 99.5 and A-CHANNEL.
  2. Television stations:CP-24, City-TV Breakfast Television, Barrie News
  3. The School Boards
  4. The Bus Consortium’s website:

To the best of our ability, the school will send out an e-blast as soon as we are aware of bus cancellations.

Students that ride the bus that are brought to school by a parent will have to be picked up by a parent at the end of the school day.  Buses do not run in the afternoon if they are cancelled in the morning.

Students that walk to school are expected to attend school.  If you choose to keep your child home on bus cancellation days, it is the parents’ responsibility to contact the school advising of their absence.  You can call the school and leave a message on the answering machine, however there is limited space.  In order to avoid delays in advising the school of your child’s absence, you can use the SAFE ARRIVAL FORM located on the school website under QUICKLINKS.   This will help to reduce the number of calls home that the office will need to make.

On snow days, students will be release in the front lobby at the end of the day.

Thank you for your continued support and  assistance.
