Literacy Week January 27th- 30th

(Dr. Seuss Theme)


Family Literacy Day is a national awareness initiative.  Family Literacy Day is held on Monday January 27. The purpose of Family Literacy Day is to raise awareness of the importance of reading and also to participate in other literacy related activities as a family.  As a school family, the staff and students will be participating in various activities during the week of January 24-30. The theme for our Family Literacy Day is “Everything Dr. Seuss”.


On Literacy Day,  Monday, January 27th people from the community have been invited to read Dr. Seuss books to classes.


Every day of the week there is a spirit day that students/teachers are encouraged to participate in.


Friday, January 24th -“One Fish Two Fish” Wear something blue.



Monday, January 27th  - “Cat in the Hat” Wear a fun hat.

-people from the community will read to classes

Tuesday, January 28th  - “Green Eggs and Ham” Wear green


Wednesday, January 29th - “Wacky Wednesday” - Wear mix-matched socks

Thursday, January 30th - “The Lorax” Wear a silly mustache and wear red, white or Stripes.
