Dear Families and Staff:
As was previously announced, on Tuesday, February 4th all elementary and secondary schools in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) will be closed and buses cancelled due to strike action by OECTA (representing our elementary, secondary and occasional teachers).
You may hear about additional strike action this week, but these strike days do NOT impact SMCDSB schools. Buses will be running as normal for all SMCDSB Catholic elementary and secondary schools every day this week, except for Tuesday, February 4th.
We understand that there is conflicting or confusing information in the media and on social media. We encourage all of our families to check the Labour Updates section of our website at smcdsb.on.ca for the most up-to-date and reliable information about how job action impacts our schools.
