Dear MTB Families,

I hope you and your families are well and managing during this very difficult situation.

We are wrapping up our second week of Learns@Home. I would like to thank our teachers for their diligence and hard work in putting together a meaningful distance learning program for our students. Our staff have commented on how much they miss seeing our students. I would also like to thank our students who have been trying to navigate and manage this new world of learning. I am also thankful for our students’ participation in our engaging and fun Twitter activities. And, a big thank you to you, our parents and guardians, for helping to support your child(ren) in their learning. Please know that we are keeping in mind the many challenges that our families may be facing.

We are asking that students do their best to engage in our Learns@Home program. We recognize that there may still be challenges in this new learning environment and that students may have questions about the course content or learning activities. Please know that our teachers are there to support your child(ren). If your child needs clarification or assistance, please reach out to the classroom teacher.

Our teaching staff in supportive roles are also available and have been supporting our students while they learn at home. Specifically, Ms. Pike, Mrs. Baiden and all of our Educational Assistants.

Voicemail messages left on the school’s main voicemail are being checked regularly by Mrs. Ng, and directed to the attention of the appropriate staff member.   Don’t hesitate to call the school and leave a message for a staff member if you need to be in touch.

We ask you to also remember that If you receive a phone call from  a “blocked number” this may be a staff member calling and trying to reach you.

Please know that our staff is committed to getting through this together.

Stay safe,

Mrs. Newman
