Merry Christmas and Thank you

Gloves, Heart, Blue, Winter, ...

It is amazing to be a part of Mother Teresa Catholic School.  In the past two months, we have come together to do many great things for our community.  In the month of November, we collected 3102 items for the Bradford Food Bank.  The gentlemen that came to collect the food were amazed with our generosity.  They were also very impressed that we took the time to sort the items by kind and label all the boxes.  Your overwhelming generosity is appreciated.  Thank you to all of you who donated boxes to help keep us organized.  A special thank you to Mr. Gamble for his endless trips to deliver boxes.   Towards the end of November we sent home information regarding Operation Christmas Smile.  In less than a week, we received donations and were able to send 35 boxes overseas to help make children smile this Christmas season.  To end the year, we sent home a note about our “Tree of Hope and Remembrance”.  We have three trees now beautifully lit and decorated in the foyer.  Besides dedication ornaments, we have trees decorated with blue and pink mittens dedicated to our Mother Teresa angels Thomas James Wright and Tayah Jade Fairbrother.  We also have boxes filled with new and gently used coats, hats, mittens, scarves, gloves, and boots in order to help support “Coats for Kids” and keep children stay warm this winter season.  What could be a better way to celebrate advent, than coming and working together to prepare our hearts for Jesus.  What a great way to teach our children about the joy and responsibility of giving to those in need.

On behalf of the staff of Mother Teresa Catholic School, have a wonderful, blessed Christmas season.  Merry Christmas.
